The fill material appears to be ground construction debris from the Busy Beaver
Recycling Facility. Any fill is prohibited within 100 feet of the shoreline. This area is
environmentally sensitive and filling and grading near the shoreline is a direct violation of
the Shoreline Regulations in Chapter 33D of Title 19 Zoning of the Everett Municipal Code.
On November 5, 2013, Mike Weeks filed a Public Works permit application to remove the
fill. The applicant was listed as The Kims & Associates Corp. In order to issue a permit to
remove the fill, the owner(s) of the property must submit a letter of authorization to the City.
The letter must state the name of the authorized contractor and state license number and must
grant permission to the tenant(s) to apply and perform the necessary work.
This application is considered incomplete. In order to continue the review and issue the
permit to remove the fill, items #1 and #2 are required to be submitted by November 22,
2013. Item #3 below must be submitted no later than December 7, 2013.
1) Submit an authorization letter from the owner as stated above.
City of Everett • 2930 Wetmore Avenue, Suite 8-A @ Everett, WA 98201 9 425.257.8731 • \ \, rcttwa.or
&
