Please review and respond to the comments below with two sets of
drawing revisions. Please include a response letter indicating how the corrections were
resolved.
1. The permit number has changed to BW1603-001, which requires separate mechanir.al
(M), electrical (E) and plumbing (P) permit applications.
2. Please note that only new MEP work that you are aware of should be shown on those
deferred permit applications.
a. For example, the new hose bib should be shown on the P permit application.
b. If you need to take the value of the hose bib out of the building permit
application, the fees are something you can work out with the Permit
Technicians when the permit is ready for issuance.
3. The description of work on each of the M, E, P, permit applications should indicate that
this is a conversion from a 1990 house to an office, subject to field inspection.
4. The revised drawings submitted this week indicate that the porch was converted from
unconditioned space to conditioned space. This requires full compliance with the
Washington State Energy Code, per Washington State Energy Code C101.4.5. Please
show wall sections for the walls surrounding the exterior of the porch with R-21
insulation, per WSEC table C402.1.2 and windows meeting the specific requirements of
WSEC table C402.3, based on the frame type.
5. The ramp to the accessible entrance should be dimensioned as 44 inches, per IBC
section 1101.2.2, as amended by the State of Washington.
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 •(425) 257-8800 • Fax (425) 257-882
