The accessible entry door should be identified as minimum 3 foot width, with lever or <br />similar hardware that does not require tight grasping, tight pinching or twisting of th� <br />writs to operate, per IBC sections 1008.1.1 and 1008.1.9.1. <br />7. The parking sign should indicate a van accessible space, per IBC section 1106.5. <br />Code references cited are the 2012 International Building Code (IBC) and the 2012 Washington <br />State Energy Code (WSEC). The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is the <br />2009 "Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI A117.1). This permit revie�n� <br />does not cover Federal ADA, FHA, or HUD regulations and standards, including the Fair Housing <br />Accessibility Guidelines. Compliance with those regulations is the responsibiliry of the owner of <br />the building. <br />All codes referenced, as adopted by the City of Everett, must include current revisions by the <br />State of Washington. These comments address building issues only.
