5. The window schedule shows a fixed, casement and sliding window (15, 16 & 17). The
elevation drawing shows three sliders. Please show the correct type of window on the
elevations for the window designated on the window schedule.
6. Provide plans, detail(s) and section(s) for the guard proposed on top of the retaining
wall along the driveway. Show how guard is attached to the retaining wall and is
capable of resisting the code specified loads.
7. Provide 3 copies of site plan with all information from the City of Everett Residential
Submittal Checklist. The checklist is available on-line at
https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/117
8. Per Geotechnical report dated April 27, 2015; Provide evaluation of failing soldier pile
retaining wall performed by a licensed WA State Structural Engineer. Provide plans
sections and/or details for the repair/replacement of the retaining wall. The final design
shall be reviewed by the geotechnical engineer.
9. Per the Geotechnical report; "Additional explorations and analysis would be needed to
provide specific recommendations on how to remedy the issues within the house and
the overall site. We recommend that such a study be conducted as there was strong
evidence that the house and the remainder of the property are experiencing distress
that would not be mitigated by the proposed repairs to the (retaining) wall".
10. All recommendations from the geotechnical report should be addressed in the revised
submittal.
11. Special inspections will be required for pin piles.
Please prepare a response letter showing where each item in this
correction letter is addressed on the plan set.
Upon resubmittal of the drawings, your application will be given priority and plan review will
recommence.
All required submittals shall be of sufficient detail and contain sufficient information to ensure
that the proposed structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes.
Sincerely,
Jeff Heilman
Development Technician
425-257-8976
Email: iheilman@ci.everett.wa.us
S:\1Common\ClericalUHeilman\CW1506-005 (4937 Seabreeze Way).doc
