April 15, 2015 <br /> AYES: Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Tuohy <br /> NAYS: Gipson, Stonecipher <br /> EXCUSED: Bader <br /> Ordinance No. 3430-15 adopted. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO. 1503-04 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING <br /> This item, an ordinance regulating rights of way, prohibiting certain <br /> conduct within public rights of way, including sitting, lying, pedestrian <br /> interference, and distributing goods, products or supplies without a street <br /> use permit, adding three new chapters to Title 13 of the Everett Municipal <br /> Code, was pulled from the agenda. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO. 1503-05 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE prohibiting the solicitation of donations or <br /> contributions, the sale of goods or services, and other <br /> distracting activities near signalized intersections, adding a <br /> new chapter to Title 8 of the Everett Municipal Code <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member Murphy, <br /> that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No. <br /> 1503-05. <br /> Tim Miller, City Traffic Engineer, gave a brief overview of the proposed <br /> ordinance. He provided a list of other jurisdictions in Washington State <br /> that have similar or related ordinances and spoke regarding solicitation <br /> activities at various intersections in Everett.
