J /•,%„ .7r.,:.iv, 001411P x rr- RESOLUTION No. An Resolution Amending the site plan approved by City Council on January 26, 2000 as a condition of the Resolution of Intent to Rezone Property Generally Located Between 41st and 42' Streets, and between Terrace Drive and the alley located between Terrace Drive and Grand Avenue. WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted a new Comprehensive Plan in August, 1994, in conformance with the Washington State Growth Management Act; and WHEREAS, the City of Everett considered a Comprehensive Plan amendment requested by Safeway Stores, Inc. in 1998,which resulted in City Council's adoption on January 26, 2000 of Ordinance No. 2441-00 amending the Comprehensive Plan map for the property identified in Exhibit A to 4.4 Mixed Use Commercial—Multiple Family to achieve a desired land use pattern; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted Public Workshops and Public Hearings in 1998 and 1999 to consider the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan map designation and the zoning map designation and made a supporting recommendation to the City Council on Safeway's proposed map amendments; and WHEREAS, the City Council held Public Hearings to consider the recommendations of the Planning Commission concerning the Safeway amendment to the Land Use Map and the rezoning of the subject property to implement the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, on January 26, 2000 the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2441-00 amending the Comprehensive Plan land use designation of the area affected by this rezone action; and WHEREAS, the City Council found that the rezoning of the specific property described herein: 1. Is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan map designations of the Everett Comprehensive Plan; and 2. Bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and welfare; and 3. Promotes the best long-term interests of the Everett community; and 4 ,,
