Additionally,Utilities has identified the need to consider an emergency power supply <br /> (generator) at this critical facility to maintain operation in the event of a significant power grid failure. <br /> Consultant involvement in this project will include a technical assessment,preparation of plans and <br /> specifications, and other work. This phase will retain R.W.Beck to provide an engineering study to establish <br /> design criteria and design alternatives. A Memorandum of Agreement with Alderwood Water and <br /> Wastewater District is also proposed(under separate City Council Agenda item)to share costs <br /> (approximately 15% of the total). <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize Mayor to sign Professional Services Agreement with R.W.Beck for engineering study for the <br /> Evergreen Way Pump Station Improvements project. _ <br /> PC:WORD:CouncilAgenda:JMc-Reck-Agn-3-26.03 <br />
