• Filing necessary documents with the City, State, and the Federal Transit <br /> Administration (FTA), and communicating with FTA through the point of <br /> final approval. <br /> • Sound Transit will manage the design of the Project. <br /> Sound Transit will provide timely project and schedule updates to the City during <br /> the process. Sound Transit will provide all draft and final designs, as well as any <br /> other pertinent memoranda, reports, and other written documents on the Project to <br /> the City's Designated Representative for distribution to City departments for <br /> review and approval. These reviews will occur within time frames agreed to by <br /> the Parties. <br /> Upon obtaining the FTA's environmental determination under NEPA, Sound <br /> Transit shall transmit to the City copies of all designs,memoranda, reports, and <br /> other documents prepared as part of the SEPA and NEPA process. <br /> 5.2 City <br /> The City shall actively participate in development of alternative design <br /> configurations,project-level environmental review, public involvement, design, <br /> permitting, and pre-construction processes through the Project Management <br /> Team. The City will provide input to the project-level environmental review <br /> process,provide specific information on bus routing/services, provide design <br /> requirements including requirements for ongoing maintenance and operations, <br /> provide review and approval of design documents, and participate in the public <br /> outreach effort. <br /> The City's Transportation Services department will take the lead for coordination <br /> issues with other City departments. <br /> The City through its regulatory departments will expedite land use and <br /> construction permit processing to the extent allowed by law, and the City will <br /> assist Sound Transit to the extent allowed by law, as Project applicant, in <br /> completing any and all permit requirements. <br /> 6. OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE <br /> Prior to the completion of the Project,the Parties agree to negotiate and execute <br /> an Operations and Maintenance Agreement(either as an addendum to this <br /> Agreement or as a separate agreement) covering the ongoing operations and <br /> maintenance as well as continuing control of the Project. <br /> 6 L <br />
