EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The Contractor is employed to render a professional service only, and any payments made to <br /> the Contractor are compensation solely for such services rendered and recommendations made <br /> in carrying out the work. <br /> 1. The Contractor agrees to furnish the services of a licensed professional land surveyor and <br /> appropriate technical support/survey field personnel, as requested by the City, to provide <br /> survey support for the City. <br /> 2. The survey crew shall work on an "as requested" basis only, as determined by the City's <br /> Project Manager or Construction Engineer. If the Contractor is not in a position to <br /> provide the survey crew at the time required by the City, then the Contractor may decline <br /> the request by the City without prejudice. <br /> 3. Following acceptance of a request for surveying services, the Contractor will prepare a <br /> written, itemized, cost estimate for the requested services. The surveyor shall not proceed <br /> with any further work until the itemized cost estimate has been authorized by the signature <br /> of the requester. <br /> 4. The survey crew shall be supervised by a licensed PLS, and shall coordinate with the <br /> Project Manager and/or the Construction Engineer, as required, to ensure that all the <br /> required surveying on the various projects is performed, as requested by the City. <br /> 5. The survey party chief shall be responsible to keep all notes in a City supplied survey book <br /> and shall record a day-to-day report of all survey activities. Said survey book shall be <br /> returned to the City Project Manager or Construction Engineer at the completion of the <br /> work. Survey field notes shall conform to the requirements of the most recent edition of <br /> the "Surveying and CAD Standards for the City of Everett. <br /> 6. All survey drawings, cross sections and profiles shall be prepared in AutoCAD in <br /> accordance with the most recent edition of the "Surveying and CAD Standards for the City <br /> of Everett. <br /> 7. The surveyor shall schedule and meet with the City surveyor and CAD manager prior to <br /> beginning any survey work to establish control, required standards, and pick up a field <br /> book. This is required for each project. <br />
