CITY <br /> Agreement Between the City of Everett and <br /> Animal Rescue Foundation of Everett, WA <br /> This agreement is made and entered into this Z�� day of bm by <br /> and between the City of Everett (the "City") and Animal Rescue Foundation of <br /> Everett, WA, a Washington non-profit corporation ("ARF"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> 1. Everett Animal Services ("EAS") is a department of the City that provides <br /> animal services including shelter and care for lost or unwanted animals <br /> and adoption services. It also provides animal control services. <br /> 2. ARF is a nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the State of <br /> Washington and a charitable organization with the mission of"[changing] <br /> the lives of shelter animals through humane education of our community, <br /> financial support of medical care for animals in the care of the Everett <br /> Animal Shelter, and increased recognition of the shelter that inspires <br /> adoptions into our local community." <br /> 3. The City and ARF desire to enter this Agreement to establish practices for <br /> the mutual benefit of the parties. <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are <br /> acknowledged, the City and ARF agree: <br /> City of Everett Responsibilities <br /> 1. EAS may, from time to time and subject to all applicable laws and <br /> regulations, donate to ARF discarded, surplus shelter materials and other <br /> items in its inventory, to assist ARF with fundraising activities to support <br /> ARF's mission. <br /> 2. EAS will provide space at the Everett Animal Shelter for ARF to conduct <br /> its programs and store program supplies so long as the space is not <br /> needed for shelter operations. Such space will include space for an ARF <br /> employee or volunteer to conduct ARF administrative activities and act as <br /> a liaison with EAS. <br /> 3. EAS will provide use of a desktop phone for the sole purpose conducting <br /> ARF business. ARF will comply with all City of Everett telecommunications <br /> policies. <br />
