This design agreement is <br /> intended to establish a mechanism for the City of Everett to reimburse WSDOT for bridge design <br /> labor costs. <br /> DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> TASK 1. STRUCTURES—BRIDGES <br /> Objective: To prepare Bridge Preliminary Plans and begin structural design for Bridge Nos. <br /> 005/620W and 005/620E. <br /> Approach: Based on the preferred alternative identified during the alternatives analysis phase of <br /> the 112th Street S.E./I-5 Direct Access and South Everett Park-and-Ride Lot Flyer Stop project, <br /> the STATE shall develop the Preliminary Plans and begin structural design in accordance with <br /> WSDOT Bridge Design Manual requirements for the 112th Street SE bridges. The work shall <br /> include the following: <br /> • Bridge Preliminary Plans <br /> • Bridge Substructure Design—begin design of bridge foundations, piers, abutments, and <br /> wingwalls, <br /> • Bridge Superstructure Design—begin design of bridge superstructure, roadway slab, <br /> diaphragms,barrier, bearings, and expansion joints, <br /> • Design Check—perform bridge design check in accordance with Section 1.3 of the <br /> WSDOT BDM. <br /> Schedule: Ongoing in support of Sound Transit's 112th Street S.E./I-5 Direct Access and South <br /> Everett Park-and-Ride Lot Flyer Stop project. <br /> Deliverables: Bridge Preliminary Plans for two structures, updated cost estimates, and an <br /> analysis to possible construction staging options. <br /> South Everett P&R / Flyer Stop- 112th Street S.E.
