January 4, 2017 <br /> Mayor Stephanson announced that the Vision Committee will meet this <br /> Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 8:30 a.m., in the Weyerhaeuser Room, <br /> Everett Station. <br /> President Murphy added his condolences to the Overstreet family. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members commented on Bob Overstreet's service to the city and <br /> community and offered condolences to the Overstreet family. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher thanked the Mayor for the Boards and <br /> Commissions appointments. She noted it was good to see new individuals <br /> being appointed to serve for the first time. <br /> Council Member Franklin thanked the Mayor and Bob Bolerjack, <br /> Administration, for their work on the boards and commissions. She stated <br /> she appreciated seeing new names coming forward for appointment. <br /> Council Member Roberts also thanked the Mayor and staff for finding <br /> more diversity in the appointments to boards and commissions. He <br /> announced the General Government Subcommittee is scheduled to meet <br /> on January 18, 2017, to discuss Council representation. <br /> President Murphy stated tonight was his last meeting as Council <br /> president, that it had been an honor to serve, and thanked council <br /> members for his appointment. President Murphy provided a recap, which <br /> highlighted some of the Council's major accomplishments over the past <br /> year, and thanked council members for their work this year and the <br /> support provided. President Murphy thanked the Mayor for his continued <br /> leadership to the city and for driving forward so many initiatives that make <br /> Everett a better place to live and work. He also thanked Debra Bryant, <br /> Jim Iles, Bob Bolerjack, Fire Chief Gordon, Police Chief Templeman, and <br /> all department heads for all they do for the city, and Deb Williams, Council <br /> administrator, for her continued support and commitment to the Council <br /> and City. <br /> 3 <br />
