CITY OF EVERETT-CH2M HILL EXHIBIT A-SCOPE OF WORK <br /> i 1 <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Scope of Work <br /> Effluent Transfer Project <br /> South Effluent Pump Station and Crosstown Pipeline <br /> Phase 2 — Additional Design Services <br /> and <br /> Phase 3 — Construction Services Support <br /> Introduction <br /> Background: Phase 1 of the Project includes the design definition for the pump station and <br /> pipeline,Phase 2 includes the Final Design Services and the Bidding Services,and Phase 3 <br /> includes construction services support. Phases 1 and 2 were initiated under a separate <br /> contract. <br /> Phase 2,Additional Design Services for this scope of work includes design work associated <br /> with four additional subtasks to Task 5 of Exhibit A-2 of Addendum 2. These subtasks are: <br /> 1)design of a portion of the Marysville Pipeline within the Water Pollution Control Facility <br /> site,2)permitting,design review,and bidding services for a pipeline crossing under the <br /> railroad near the Kimberly-Clark mill,3)additional geotechnical investigation near the <br /> Chlorine Contact Channel,and 4) design of a pipeline crossing under the railroad near the <br /> Kimberly-Clark mill. <br /> Phase 3,Construction Services Support includes engineering services associated with <br /> construction of the South Effluent Pump Station and the Crosstown Pipeline. The Phase 3 <br /> scope of work includes progress meetings and reports,preparation of conformed <br /> documents,meetings with the contractor,review of submittals,site visits,assistance with <br /> responding to questions from the contractors,assistance with preparation of change orders, <br /> assistance with programming of the system software,staff training for operation of the <br /> pump station,assistance with start-up,assistance with preparation of the record drawings, <br /> preparation of an operation and maintenance manual,assistance with final inspection,and <br /> assistance with obtaining easements. <br /> Phase 2, Additional Design Services <br /> Subtask 5.8. Design of a Portion of the Marysville Pipeline <br /> This subtask involves design and bidding services associated with the portion of the <br /> Marysville Pipeline within the City of Everett's Water Pollution Control Facility site. <br /> Including this work as part of the City of Everett's construction contract will avoid having <br /> two contractors working in the same area,reduce potential conflicts between schedules,and <br /> likely lower the overall construction costs. <br /> EXHIBITA-JULY16.DOC 6 <br /> 5 <br />
