11 <br /> Task 14. Assistance with Obtaining Easements <br /> CH2M HILL will assist the City with obtaining easements for the Crosstown Pipeline. It is <br /> anticipated the subtask will consist of the following activities: <br /> 1. Contact the K-C to determine the procedure that should be followed to obtain an <br /> easement. <br /> 2. Prepare a drawing showing the proposed permanent and temporary easements. Send <br /> drawing to K-C for approval. <br /> 3. Meet with K-C staff and City of Everett staff to discuss the proposed easements,respond <br /> to any questions,and make necessary revisions. <br /> 4. After the pipeline route and easement widths are approved,prepare a legal description <br /> for the permanent easement. <br /> 5. Provide three title reports. <br /> 6. Coordinate the easement language and format with K-C and City staff. <br /> 7. Contact the BNSF railroad representative and determine the status of the permit <br /> application. <br /> 8. Provide additional information to the BNSF as required to obtain the permits. <br /> For budgetary purposes it is assumed that 40 hours of project manager time,6 hours of <br /> designer time,5 hours of CAD time are required,for a total of 51 hours. Expenses include <br /> costs by Perteet Engineering for preparation of the legal description and costs by a title <br /> company for the title reports. <br /> Task 15. Undefined Services <br /> Should items arise during the construction of the project that are not included in the scope <br /> of work or within the level of effort assumed,the City may direct CH2M HILL to assist with <br /> these items or provide additional effort. This task is controlled by the City of Everett and <br /> may not be used without written direction by the City.
