Snohomish County Center for Battered Women <br /> The Center for Battered Women provides counseling and shelter for victims of domestic violence. In <br /> September of 1981, the Center, then known as Stop Abuse, opened a fifteen person capacity shelter <br /> for victims and their children. City of Everett and Snohomish County CDBG funds funded this shelter. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $24,341.00 <br /> 2. Pilchuck Area Council of Camp Fire, Inc. - Campships <br /> The funds will provide financial assistance to low income children to attend Camp Killoqua in the <br /> summer of 2003. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $4,125.00 <br /> 3. Community Health Center of Snohomish County <br /> The Community Health Center is a non-profit clinic providing on-site medical and dental care to low <br /> income people who do not have the health insurance or other resources to pay for health care through <br /> private physicians. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $20,000.00 <br /> 4. Deaconess Children's Services <br /> IMPACT: Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention <br /> IMPACT is an intensive child abuse prevention program which offers outpatient services to high risk <br /> parents, infants, and toddlers in hopes of breaking the cycles of abuse and neglect that are passed on <br /> down from one generation to another. Services provided include structured parenting education and <br /> support groups, outreach, case management and a therapeutic nursery. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $5,000.00 <br /> 5. Senior Services of Snohomish County - Housing Social Services <br /> Housing Social Services provides for a regular on-site service coordinator at federally funded, <br /> subsidized housing for senior and handicapped residents. They are trained to recognize social and <br /> health needs and to help residents to obtain services quickly and effectively. This forms a link to the <br /> service network in order to prevent premature or unwarranted institutionalization. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $6,000.00 <br /> 5 <br />
