3 ooilAdvocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARC) Specialized Housing Program CDBG funds will be used to pay for staffing for this program. The program will provide help for people with developmental disabilities in three areas: 1) Location and retention of affordable housing; 2) Education and training and, 3)Alternative living support. 2003 appropriated funds $15,000.00 7. Catholic Community Services -Volunteer Program Services This program will reimburse the transportation costs of volunteers providing services to clients residing within the city of Everett. 2003 appropriated funds $5,000.00 8. Everett Family YMCA- Child Care for Low Income Parents CDBG funds will be used to expand the YMCA's childcare program to meet the growing need for infant care for low-income families. 2003 appropriated funds $8,000.00 9. Salvation Army— Emergency Assistance Program The Salvation Army Emergency Assistance Program will provide aid to clients in dire need of emergency dental care. 2003 appropriated funds $9,000.00 10. Volunteers of America - Family Support Services This is a public service, which attempts to assist families and individuals who are dependent on social services in becoming economically independent and self-sufficient. 2003 appropriated funds $10,000.00 11. Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County This program provides scholarships to low-income children to participate in the Everett Boy's and Girl's Clubs activities throughout the year. 2003 appropriated funds $8,231.57 12. Cocoon House Cocoon House is an organization established to provide a house in Everett to shelter homeless and at- risk teenagers. This is a neighborhood community based project. Goals are to provide a loving, supportive environment, which provides youth with an alternative to street life and violence at home. 2003 appropriated funds $22,000.00 6
