Catholic Community Services -Volunteer Program Services <br /> This program will reimburse the transportation costs of volunteers providing services to clients residing <br /> within the city of Everett. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $5,000.00 <br /> 8. Everett Family YMCA- Child Care for Low Income Parents <br /> CDBG funds will be used to expand the YMCA's childcare program to meet the growing need for infant <br /> care for low-income families. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $8,000.00 <br /> 9. Salvation Army— Emergency Assistance Program <br /> The Salvation Army Emergency Assistance Program will provide aid to clients in dire need of <br /> emergency dental care. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $9,000.00 <br /> 10. Volunteers of America - Family Support Services <br /> This is a public service, which attempts to assist families and individuals who are dependent on social <br /> services in becoming economically independent and self-sufficient. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $10,000.00 <br /> 11. Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County <br /> This program provides scholarships to low-income children to participate in the Everett Boy's and Girl's <br /> Clubs activities throughout the year. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $8,231.57 <br /> 12. Cocoon House <br /> Cocoon House is an organization established to provide a house in Everett to shelter homeless and at- <br /> risk teenagers. This is a neighborhood community based project. Goals are to provide a loving, <br /> supportive environment, which provides youth with an alternative to street life and violence at home. <br /> 2003 appropriated funds $22,000.00 <br /> 6 <br />
