Please submit two sets of drawings with a response letter indicating how corrections are resolved on the plan set. General 1. To identify what is being proposed as new work on this permit, please revise the drawings as follows: a. New work should be indicated with dark lines. Existing work should be indicated as light lines, in comparison, and demolition work should be indicated with dashed lines. b. The drawings should be clear enough that the scope of the new work could be understood by someone other than the submitter. The skylight detail 7 on sheet A3.1 does not indicate that the skylights is new, and the plan on A3.0 does not target detail 7 for all new skylights. 2. The code analysis should include the applicable building codes, referenced at the bottom of this letter, to include the Washington State Energy Code and International Fire Code. 3. Bidding instructions and specifications prepared for bidding are not typically reviewed for building permit. Occupancy 1. The building occupancy and occupancy load should be shown on the drawings, per IBC section 2606.7. Egress 1. Floor plans should be submitted indicating the location of the replacement overhead skylights relative to egress elements, per IBC section 2606.7 (5). Construction 1. Building sections should be submitted to indicate the height of overhead skylights relative to grade level, and the building construction type should be shown on the drawings per IBC section 2608.2 (3). 2. The drawings should indicate if the building is sprinklered with an automatic fire detection C9system and the construction type, per IBC section 2609.1.
