The attached resolution provides for the <br /> surplusing, issuance of the notice of intention to sell, and the authorization to issue a Request for <br /> Qualifications of developers for the City of Everett's property located at South of 36th Street and East <br /> of I-5, generally referred to as the Everett Landfill and Simpson sites. The Everett Landfill site <br /> consists of approximately 2,308,680 sq. ft. (53 acres) and the Simpson site consists of approximately <br /> 1,873,080 (43 acres). <br /> A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from Developers has been drafted to solicit qualified developers to <br /> purchase (or lease) and develop the property. The RFQ sets forth generally the criteria for developer <br /> selection,which includes price, experience, community outreach,schedule, financial strength, and the <br /> quality of the proposed development. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council: <br /> Adopt the attached resolution declaring the City owned property generally referred to as the Everett <br /> Landfill site and the Simpson site as surplus to City's existing and foreseeable needs, authorizing the <br /> issuance of the Notice of Intent to Sell, and authorizing the issuance of a Request for Qualifications of <br /> Developers. <br /> I6 <br />
