NON CONSORTIUM PUBLIC FACILITY USE A G R E E M E N T: University Center at <br /> Everett Station: <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> NSIS HIGHER EDUCATION CONSORTIUM <br /> University Center at Everett Station <br /> Facility Operating Procedures <br /> For Non Consortium (Public) Facility Users <br /> The purpose of this document is to provide personnel who are not faculty and staff of NSIS Higher <br /> Education Consortium institutions and who contract with NSIS for use of the facilities—"facility <br /> users"--with a common understanding of procedures in place at the University Center at Everett <br /> Station. <br /> NSIS institutions are parties to the Interagency Agreement and the lease of the University Center <br /> at Everett Station and as such have already agreed to certain responsibilities and acceptance of <br /> liability. <br /> The following procedures are in place at this time and it is understood that they may change from <br /> time to timc check with the Executive Director or his assistant if you have questions about these <br /> or any other issues related to conducting your mission at the University Center: <br /> Denial of use—The NSIS may deny use of its facilities if the use would interfere or conflict with the <br /> Consortium's programs and services; interfere with the free flow of pedestrian or vehicular traffic <br /> around the facility; involve illegal activity; cause a hazard or damage to college facilities; or create <br /> undue stress on Consortium resources. The NSIS may also deny use to an applicant which has used <br /> the facilities in the past and has damaged Consortium institutions' property, has left buildings and <br /> grounds in excessive disorder, or has failed to cooperate with Consortium staff concerning use of the <br /> facilities. <br /> Equal Opportunity/Nondiscrimination—The NSIS prohibits discrimination on the basis of race <br /> or ethnicity; creed; color; national origin; sex; marital status; sexual orientation; age; religion; the <br /> presence of sensory; mental or physical disability; or status as a disabled or Vietnam-era veteran. <br /> Scheduling—Regular hours for facilities use are 8:00 a.m.–7:OOp.m, Monday through Friday. <br /> 1. Scheduling priority is given to the NSIS activities and events. <br /> 2. The NSIS will make a reasonable effort to reschedule any event that it has cancelled. <br /> However, The NSIS is under no obligation to reschedule an event disrupted by an <br /> emergency. <br /> Cancellations- <br /> 1. If the facilities will not be used as scheduled, for whatever reason,the applicant must <br /> notify the NSIS at least 24 hours in advance (call 425-252-9505). Applicants who <br /> do not cancel in a timely fashion will be charged full fees and costs. <br /> 15 <br /> 4 <br />
