NON CONSORTIUM PUBLIC FACILITY USE A G R E E M E N T: University Center at <br /> Everett Station: <br /> The NSIS reserves the right to cancel any event in progress if it interferes <br /> or conflicts with regular NSIS activities in any way; if it creates hazards or <br /> unreasonable difficulties for the Consortium community; if event staff or participants <br /> refuse to cooperate with NSIS Security and other staff; or if an emergency situation <br /> arises. <br /> Restrictions and Requirements- <br /> 1. Advertising: Applicants may not use the NSIS, University Center name in any <br /> advertising or event publicity until their request has been confirmed in writing by the <br /> NSIS. <br /> 2. Alcoholic Beverages: If alcoholic beverages are to be served on NSIS property, the <br /> facilities use applicant must file an Application for Utilization of Alcoholic <br /> Beverages and obtain a Banquet Permit from the State Liquor Control Board. <br /> 3. Amplified Sound: The University Center is a classroom facility and no loud sounds <br /> are allowed if they interfere with the teaching-learning process. <br /> Office space--Adjacent to faculty office space is a small conference room available for private <br /> conversations. There is a faculty/staff kitchenette area equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, <br /> microwave oven, and constant hot water faucet available to facility users. <br /> Keys—Keys to the faculty area, workroom and classrooms may be obtained from the Assistant to <br /> the Executive Director, room 235. Keys are checked out to individuals who must sign for them and <br /> are responsible for their safety and return. Lost keys will result in re-keying the spaces that the <br /> lost key can open; the individual who checked the key out and his or her organization will be <br /> charged for the cost of this re-keying. Keys must be returned at the end of the quarter to avoid <br /> financial penalties of $10.00. <br /> Locking rooms—Facility users are responsible for locking up any portable equipment and the <br /> classrooms when they have finished their class, meeting, or other type of session. <br /> Workroom—The workroom is equipped with a copier/collator, fax machine, mailboxes, printer, <br /> and other items and may be available to facility users upon request. The classroom key will also <br /> unlock the workroom. <br /> Instructional equipment—The facility has an abundance of equipment for use. Facility users <br /> should receive training in the use of any items that they have not previously used. Equipment <br /> training sessions will be held prior to each quarter for faculty; additionally, faculty, or other facility <br /> users, may request individual training sessions on any of the equipment that they will be using in <br /> the classrooms. Facility users will be responsible for the care and safety of any equipment they <br /> are using. The ITV room and computer lab have unique equipment and will require specialized <br /> training prior to use. The Center staff will provide this training to users upon request to use the <br /> facilities. <br /> Instructional supplies and other cost items—The University Center will provide basic <br /> equipment and supplies such as overhead projectors, computers, marker board pens and erasers, <br /> 5 <br /> 16 <br />
