7 <br /> fi <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF THE DESIGNATION OF <br /> BOEING 7E7 FACILITIES IN THE CITY OF EVERETT AS <br /> AN "INDUSTRIAL PROJECT OF STATEWIDE SIGNIFICANCE;" AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A LETTER TO THE WASHINGTON <br /> DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY,TRADE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, <br /> COMMMUNICATING CITY COUNCIL'S APPROVAL. <br /> WHEREAS,RCW 43.157 contains the criteria for the designation of"industrial projects <br /> of statewide significance; " and <br /> WHEREAS, the designation of manufacturing facilities as an industrial project of <br /> statewide significance entitles such facility to expedited permit processing assistance <br /> from the State Office of Permit Assistance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the designation of a specific facility as an industrial project of statewide <br /> significance is made by the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and <br /> Economic Development following an application for such designation; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Boeing Company has applied for designation of its 7E7 program in <br /> Everett as an industrial project of statewide significance; and <br /> WHEREAS,RCW 43.157 requires that the "application must be accompanied by a letter <br /> of approval from the legislative authority of any jurisdiction that will have the proposed <br /> industrial project of statewide significance within its boundaries;" and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that facilities associated with the Boeing 7E7 <br /> program located within the City of Everett, including the assembly plant in southwest <br /> Everett, the proposed rail-barge pier located along the Everett shoreline near the former <br /> "Mukilteo tank farm," and pier improvements located at the Port of Everett,meet the <br /> definition of an industrial project of statewide significance in accordance with RCW <br /> 43.157.010. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: <br /> 30 <br />
