May 13, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., May 13, 2015 in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br /> Historic City Hall, Vice President Murphy presiding. Upon roll call it was <br /> found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Murphy, <br /> Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Members Moore, Gipson, <br /> and Bader were excused <br /> Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 6, 2015, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> Vice President Murphy announced that agenda item no. 9, a public <br /> hearing regarding the Burlington Northern Santa Fee Railway Pigeon <br /> Creek Slope Stabilization project, had been pulled from the agenda. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH OF OFFICE <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Tuohy, to concur with the appointment of Alex Evanson and Travis <br /> Taylor as new police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Moore, Gipson, and Bader who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered their oaths of office and Mayor <br /> Stephanson presented the officers with their badges. <br /> Mayor Stephanson shared that the city of Everett has another six <br /> individuals attending the police academy. <br /> The Mayor thanked the Everett Police Department and Washington State <br /> Patrol for removing a car from his lawn on Sunday morning and arresting <br /> the driver. <br /> 137 <br />
