May 20, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., May 20, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call <br /> it was found that Council Members Moore, Murphy, Stonecipher, Bader, <br /> Gipson, and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson and Council <br /> Member Roberts were excused. <br /> Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 13, 2015, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Gipson and Bader abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Fire Pension Board meeting this morning. He also announced that there <br /> are at least five budget updates scheduled for Council briefing in the next <br /> several months. The first briefing will be held on June 3, 2015. <br /> Council Member Tuohy provided a liaison report on her attendance at the <br /> Library Board meeting last night. She stated she had received comments <br /> from concerned citizens regarding the closure of the Howarth Park <br /> Overpass and lack of Bond Street accessibility to the waterfront, and <br /> asked if Jetty Island could be expanded. <br /> Debra Bryant, CAO/CFO, stated she would contact Paul Kaftanski, Parks <br /> Director. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher commented on the sewer letter that was <br /> mailed to residents in the north end of Everett, and asked when the topic <br /> would be placed on the Council briefing agenda. Debra Bryant stated it is <br /> scheduled for June 3, 2015. <br /> 145 <br />
