May 20, 2015 <br /> Council Member Moore provided liaison reports on his attendance at <br /> Tuesday's Joint Tulalip Water Board and the Public Facilities District <br /> Board meeting held this morning. <br /> Council Member Gipson asked for an update on the recent news article <br /> concerning illegal activity at Purple Haze, Everett marijuana retailer. <br /> Debra Bryant provided a short recap regarding the press release issued <br /> by the Washington State Liquor Control Board announcing results of its <br /> first compliance checks of recreational marijuana stores. <br /> Council Member Gipson also requested a briefing sometime in June to <br /> discuss the City's obligation regarding the new Snohomish County <br /> Courthouse development project, of which the vacation requested in <br /> Action Item #6 is a component. <br /> President Bader provided a liaison report on his attendance at the Police <br /> Pension Board held on Wednesday. He also announced that the next <br /> discussion regarding Council policy and procedures is scheduled for <br /> Wednesday, June 17, 2015. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Shelly Weir, Northwest Neighborhood Chair, commented on a letter sent <br /> by the City regarding future backwater valve program claims. <br /> Nikki Oku, Everett, also commented on flooding damage to her home and <br /> future backwater valve program claims. <br /> Council Member Gipson inquired about the various contractors hired to <br /> install backwater valves. Debra Bryant stated a list of contractors was <br /> provided to homeowners, and she would ask staff to be prepared to <br /> answer questions during the June 3rd briefing. <br /> 146 <br />
