• <br /> � 4 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the City's parking regulations <br /> concerning time zones and penalties for parking infractions, <br /> Ordinance No. 2691-03 (EMC 46.28.020F) and Ordinance <br /> No. 2395-99 as amended (EMC 46.28.270) <br /> Whereas, the City Council finds that it is necessary to redefine "central business district" <br /> for purposes of the City's reparking provisions to include the additional one block area <br /> bounded by Hewitt to the south, California to the north and Grand to the west; and <br /> Whereas, the City Council finds that penalties for parking infractions should remain the <br /> same amount, however, the penalty needs to be redefined to more accurately reflect its <br /> basis; and <br /> Whereas, the City Council finds that the Municipal Court should be the depository for <br /> the payment of parking tickets; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Ordinance No. 2691-03 (EMC 46.28.020F)which reads as follows: <br /> Definitions. <br /> F. "Central business district" means the area bounded on both sides of the <br /> street by Pacific Avenue to the south, Twenty-Fifth Street to the north, Broadway <br /> to the east, and Rucker Avenue to the west. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Definitions. <br /> F. "Central business district" means the area bounded on both sides of the <br /> street by Pacific Avenue to the south, Twenty-Fifth Street to the north, Broadway <br /> to the east, and Rucker Avenue to the west, and shall include the additional block <br /> bounded by Hewitt to the south (both sides), California to the north (south side <br /> only) and Grand to the west(both sides). <br /> 18 <br />
