The ?lanning <br /> Commission recommended granting the permit subject to 7 conditions. <br /> !•7r. Ervine stated a ]:etter had been received from a resident in the area <br /> stating concern over traffic and parking problems and safety hazards to <br /> children and pedestrians. <br /> John Cleator, of 1717 Fulton, was concerned about the parking on Fulton, <br /> which is very narrow, and the lack of sidewalks on lSth, causing pedestrians <br /> to walk in the street when cars are parked along the si.de of the .street. Fle I <br /> mentioned the fact that the site was only 50 x '. 20 and did not allo�a much <br /> area for parkir.g. � <br /> Councilman Michelson asked who o�aned the property, and Gerry Ervine reported <br /> that Thirty Four Oakes Pellowship did and have been ,occupying the premises <br /> as an alcoholic recovery facility already. � <br /> President Over.street asked if a curb caould be put in on 18th and Gerry F.rvine <br /> stated this could bt incorporated into the conditions . <br /> . 1 <br /> Moved by Council.man Al.dcroft, seconded by Councilman Daker, to concur with <br /> the �recommendations of the Planning Commission and grant a Speci.al Property <br /> Use Permit to Thirty Pour Oakes Fellowship for a f�cility at 1731 IIaker j <br /> subject to 7 conditions , with condition k�i to read as follows: � <br /> I "There shall be six parallel parking spaces �rovi.ded on the north <br /> � side of 1Pth Strect �vith a curb and temporary asphalt si.dewalk <br /> i adjacent to t.iie parking.
