The Planning <br /> Commission recommended granting the perm.it subject to 7 conditions. <br /> idr. Ervine stated a letter had bezn received fr�m a resident in the area <br /> stating concern over traffic and parking problems and safety hazards to <br /> children and pedestrians. <br /> John Cleator, of 1717 F'ulton, was coricerned about the parking on Fuiton, <br /> which is very narrow, and the lack of sidewalks on 18th, causing pedestrians <br /> to walk in the street when cars are parked along the side of the street. Fie <br /> mentioned the fact that t.he site was only 50 x 120 and did not allow much <br /> area for parkir,g. <br /> Councilman Michelson asked �•iho owned the property, and Gerry Ervine reported <br /> that Thirty Four Oakes Fellowship did and have been ,occupying the premises <br /> as an alcoholi.c recovery facility already. <br /> President Overst.reet asked if a curb cvould be put in on 18th and Gerry Ervine <br /> stated this could be incorporated into the conditions . <br /> Moved by Councilman Al.dcroft, seconded by Councilman IIaY.er, to concur with <br /> the recommendations of the Planning Commission and grant a Speci.al Prcperty <br /> Use Permit to Thirty Four Oakes Fellotdship for a facility at 1731 IIaker <br /> � subject to 7 conditions , with cor:dition ,u,5 to read �s follows: <br /> I "There shall be six parallel parkin9 spaces provided on the north <br /> si.de of lflth Street with a curb and temporary aspha:Lt: sidewal.k <br /> i adjacent to the parki.ng.
