Also in attendance were Dewey Barnett, Doug Zook, and Tom <br /> Eckstrom. I <br /> �; <br /> [TEM 1: <br /> Applicant: Dorothy Paget � <br /> 1912 16th Street <br /> Everett WA <br /> Location of Property: 2022 Baker Avenu� <br /> Variance Requests: A variance from Everett Municipal <br /> Code, Section 19.16.050 - side yard <br /> setback. The Applicant is requesting <br /> to build a carport on thc property line; <br /> zero (0) foot setback instead of the <br /> required five foot :�tback. <br /> Zoning: R-2 Single Family High Density <br /> Residentia! <br /> Pearl Maddy, of the Planning Department, summarized the staff report as follows and <br /> showed a slide of the site and a viewfoil of the site plan. There is an existing driveway off <br /> Baker and there was a garage on the proposed carport site which was removed <br /> approximately two years ago. There is a small house on the lot which takes access and <br /> parking off the alley and chis limits the space available for off street parking. The staff <br /> recommends approval of a two and one-half foot side yard setback instead of the zero foot <br /> re.quested in order to provide for maintenance of the structure without encroaching on the <br /> adjoining property. <br /> Uorothy Paget spoke requesting that she be allowed the zero foot setback, but in response <br /> to questions from the Board, she stated the ta•o anJ onr-half foot setback would be <br /> acceptable to hrr. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Zook moved to accept the Planning Staff recommendation to grant the <br /> varian^e `.or a two and one-half foot setback. <br /> SECOND: Mr. Barnett . <br /> VOTE: Unanimously in favor to GRANT THE VARIANCE. <br /> iJ,`ITEM 2: <br /> � �- "' r Applicant: Peter Storseth <br /> ��' ` 1906 Mukilteo Boulevard <br /> Variance Requested: A 20 foot easement access to allow � <br /> approval of a short subdivision <br />� � containing a rear lot that is unable <br /> to meet full frontage requirements. <br /> Zoning: R.
