This laycr of loosc fill <br />appcars to tw pushcd ovcr tlic original top of slopc from the dcvelopment of the existing <br />residcnce on thc southcrn lot to fonn thc slupes and benches al the soudi end of thc northcm lot. <br />Tcst Borings 2,md 3 cncountcrcd a laycr of loosc, organic topsoil, about 0.8 to 1.7 fcct thick. <br />Undcrlying thc topsoil in Test I3orings 2 �nd 3 are �veaQicred and fresh Gsperance 3and deposits <br />of brow�n to light-hro�m to liglibgray, mcdium-densc to Jense, silty to cican, fine to medium lo <br />cocvse sand. 7�hc tolal thickncss of thc F.sperancc Sand dcposits is abuut 18 fcet in Test [3oring 2, <br />anJ was not pcnetraled through by '1'cst I3oring 3. Un�lcdying the relic topsoil in 1'est I3oring I <br />cuid thc fresh I?sper;mcc SanJ dcposit in Tcst I3oring 2 is a ticsh WhiJbcy Pormation deposit of <br />gray, h.vJ, tinc sandy silt to claycy silt. <br />GROUNDWA"1'b:R CONUITION <br />Groundwatcr «as encountcrcd in 7'cst [3orings D-1 and I3-2 at 14.0 and 18.0 feet, respectively. <br />'1'hc WhiJbey formation underlying the site is of extremely luw permeability, and would perch <br />slonnwater infiltrating inlo the more pertnenble surficial soils.
