TEMPOR/.RY EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL (TESC)
Silt fencing shall be placed along edge of the proposed buffer during construction see
Critical Area Study Map►. It shall be installed per Department of Ecology standards,
heeled•in at the bottom along its lQngth and supported with wire fencing and steel
(ence posts. Proper installation of the TESC fencinr+ will insure thai impacts to
downstream areas from sedimentation are minimized to the greatest extent possible.
All sedimentation control facilities shall be kepi in place and functioning until
vegetation is (irmly established. Refer to the Sensitive Area Study Map for location of
the TESCfence.
CRITICAL AREA SIGNS AND FENCIHG
Signage and fencing shall be placed to permanently mark the boundary of the buffer.
A permanent fence shall be constructed along the buffer boundary shown on the
attached map. The permanent fence shall replace the silt fence after home
construction is completed. Critical area signage shall be attached to the fence posts,
as shown. Exact sign design, language and locations shall be approved by the City of
Everett. An example of critical area sign text is as follews:
ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE AREA
THIS WETLAND AND UPLAND BUFFER ARE PROTECTcD TO PROVIDE WILDLIfE HABITAT
AND MAINTAIN QUALITY
PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB THIS VALUABLE RESOURCE
PROJECT NOTES
Planting shall take place in the early spring or late fall. Plants should be obtained
from a reputable nursery. All piant materials recommended in this plan are typically
availa4le from local and regional sources, depending on seasonal demand. Some
limited species substitution may be allowed, only with the agreement uf the
consulting biologist or city inspector. Care and handling of plant materials is
extremely important to the overall success of the project.
The plants shall be arranged with the appropriate numbers, sies, species, and
distribution to achieve the required vegetation coverage. The actual placement of
individual plants shall mimic natural, asymmetric vegetation patterns found on similar
undisturbed sites in the area.
Wood chips, or similar approved material, shall be used for mulching. Mulch shall be
placed in a two-foot diameter around each planting at a depth of three to four
inches. A four-inch diameter ring around the base of each plant shall be kept free of
mulch.
Hing Residence 7 WRI N06190
Critical Area Study Rev. 112: April 23, 1007
'' i -'
