SE <br />Everett, WA 93208 <br />Dear Property Cwners: <br />Our office has received a complaint �egarding a dilapidated garage in the rear yard on <br />property located at 6113 Beverly Lane in our ciry. According to Snohomish County <br />assessor records you are the owners of the property. An inspection on April 18, 2013 <br />revealed the detached garage has a failing roof, cracked and damaged sidinq and <br />gutters that are dislodged from the structure. The yard areas have grasses over 12 <br />inches in height, tires, used lumber, plywood, furniture and miscellanecus items stored <br />in view of the neighboring properties. The main house has peeling paint on one side. <br />The current condition� are in violation of the following sections of the Everett Municipal <br />Code: <br />EMC 8.20.020 provides that certain conditions are not atlowed on any <br />property i i the city if conditions are visible from a public street, alley or other <br />public or private property, including: <br />(A)Junk, trash, litter, boxes, discarded lumber, salvage materials or other similar <br />materials in any front yard, side yard, rear yard or vacant lot. <br />(C) Broken or discarded furniture, household equipment and furnishings in any front <br />yard, side yard, rear yard, or vacant lot. <br />(E) Dead, decayed, diseascd, noxious or hazardous trees, or vegetation or any <br />vegetation (not induding vegetation located in flower beds) taller than forty-two <br />inches high or grass taller than twelve inches in height in any (ront yard, side <br />yard, rear yard or vacant lot. <br />(F) Vehide parts or other artides of personal property which a�e discarded or left in <br />a state of partial construction or repair in any front yard, side yard, rear yard, or <br />vacant lot. <br />International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), as adopted by EMC 16.01 <br />IPMC 301.2, Responsibility, which states: <br />The owner of the premises sha�l maintain the structures and ex;erior property in <br />compliance with these requirements except as otherwise provided for in this <br />code. <br />I.��rrrit Pohrc Ilr��anmcnL ('udr I�n�in.��inc�u l'ni� •;uU_ N'rini�nr:\�c • f��crcU. \l':\ '�S'01 •�CS-'i7-Sibil <br />
