A <br />two-day search of available references (UBC, Gypsum Association, <br />ICBO Evaluation Reports, UL Fire Resistance Directory, calls to <br />UL California offices and ICBO local offices, and other nearby <br />euilding Code jurisdictions) failed to find a tested assembly <br />which met all energy, fire protection, and structural (shearwall) <br />requirements for the oxterior wall assembly. However, a nur;ber <br />of references discussed variations in design psrameters which <br />would seem to allow such a wall assembly as is herein proposed. <br />We submit thar_ the proposed assembly conforms with acceptod <br />practice and should be approved. <br />ITEM 4: <br />A parapet section is provided on sheet A-2. <br />ITEM 6� <br />Draftstops were indicatod on the roof framing plan (sheet <br />5-1) in the previous revision (Rev. 1). <br />ITEM 17: <br />Safety glazing in the patio doors (sheet A-4, East <br />Elevation) was indicated in the previous revision (Rev. 1). <br />Safety glazing in the deck doors (sheet A-3, Typical Lower Floor <br />and Typical Upper Floor plans) has been noted in this revision <br />(Rev. 2).
