The meeting/class/kitchen room on the second floor is greater than 750 square feet <br /> and is therefore classified as an A-3 Occupancy. A-3 Occupancies are not permitted <br /> above dte first story in non-fire resistive buildings per Section 302.2.2.2. As the <br /> sprinkler system is not required for an increasc in area,the building should be re- <br /> classified as a Type III 1-HR buifding with the sprinkler system used for fire-resistive <br /> substitution per Section 508. <br /> 2.
