; KLEINFELDER
reiev and/or purchase at the regulatory agencies, or the infomation may be obtained through a
commercial dataUase service. Kleinfelder retained a contmercial dataUase service; Lmiron;ncntal
1 Data Resources, Ina (EDR), to review tl;e regulatory agency ]ists for references to the subject I
property and other off-site listingsvitiin the appropriate ASTM minimum scazch distances. The
EDR database seazch resulu for the subject site and for other neazby facilities are included in
Attaclmient B. The federal and state databases revie„ed along with ile number of sites plotted
in eadi database category ure summarized in Table l.
The suUject site, listed as K & H Printers, was identified on RCRA-Smafl Generators list. The
( Depariment of Ecology identified K & 1-I Printers site, located at 163] Broaday Avenue,
Everett, \'VA as generating hazardous wastes in comection with conunercial printing (site ID
64313237). However, no violations ere reporied in connection with the site and thc site status
was listed as inactive. In addition, cology did not hae records indicating K R: II Printers
impacted soil and/or groundwalerith hazardous materials.
A lotal of cight CSCSL sites were idenlified on ihe LDIZ dalabasc report within lhe specified
reach radius. The CSCSL sites aze located more that 1,600 fect away from the subject property
and are considered to be cross- or dom-gradient with mspect to the subject property. The
potential for tlese CSCSL sites to ha;e impacted the subject property is considered low based
upon distance and/or groundater gradient considerations.
Four 1VA ICR sites vere identified on the LDR datab.se rcpori (sce :ttachment). Tlvee out of
fow \VA ICR sites (City of Everett Fire Station, Larry's/Dick's .4RC0, and I;verett Scloll
District Bal:er Heiglts) ere also recorded LUST sites. The remaining WA ICR site, Richard J.
'Nnght, was a recorded UST site. The probability of the I.OST sites to have impacted the subject
property is considered unlikely since all ilrese sites Iave not reportedly impacted groundater.
7A LIMITED PHASE II SUBSURFACE SOIL CHAP.ACTERIZATION
IOn Aprit 13, 200, four soil borings (B-1 through B-4) vere completed on the suUject properiy
for geotechnical purposes associated with the consWction of the proposed Safeay Fueling
, Center. As part of the field investigations, representative soil samples vere also collected for
" laboratory analKical testing to provide environmental basefine data for the subject property. The
( locations of the soil borings aze sho«m on Figure 4. Infonnation regazding thc subsurface soil
conditions and geotechnical properiies is pmsented in a separate report entitled: Geotechnical
1 Repori Proposed Safeca} Pucl Center daled April 30, ?00-1.
 aseusr::r,a;a: raon
Cop7icln 2UD-0};infcld;rinc.
