N. Callahan, Everett Building Department Director, dated August 27, 1982, regardin9 the above-reference project. The numbering of the items below is identical to the items on that letter: 1 . The design of prestressed concrete floor panels, trade name "5pandeck" will be on shop drawing and would be in next submittal by supplier, Central Premix Concrete Company, Kent, Washington. 2. Masonry curtain wall panels would be designed for both vertical and wind or seismic loading and would be in separate submittal by subcontractor. 3. Revise sheet S-1 note as "Welding of reinforcing steel and inserts should be in accordance with AWS D1 .4-79". 4. Add structural note as "Weldino of structural steel and steel decking should be in accordance with AWS D1 .1 , 1980 Code. All welders, tackers, and welding operators should be WABO certified." below "Steel Deck" items on sheet S-1 . 5. Add structural note as "Ail masonry construction, including prefabricated masonry curtain walls, should have special inspection in accordance with Section 306 (a) ti, UBC 79. ' 6. The masonry bearing walls and shear walls have been recalculated based on the effective width of the masonry units, and found structurally adequate as shown on attached structural calculations.
