Condifions of Use To establish clearing limits plastic fence may be used: • At the boundary of sensitive areas,their bufters,and other areas requved to be left uncleared • As necessary to control vehicle access to and on the site. Deslgn and/nstallation Specificaflons l. High visibility plastic fencc shall be composed of a high-density polyethvlene material and shall be at least 4 feet in he:ght. Posts for the fencing shall be steel or wood and placed every 6 fect on center(maximnm)or as needed to ensure rigidiry. The fencing shall be festened to the post every 6 inches with a polyethylenc tie. On long continuous lengths of fencing,a tension wire or ropc shall be used as a top stringer to prevent sagging between posts. The fence color shall bc high - � visibility orange. The fence tensile strength shall be 360 pounds/feet using the American Society � for Tes6ng and Materials(ASTM)D4595 testing method. 2. Fences shall not be wired or stapled to trees. Maintenance Standards 1. If the fence hes becn damaged or visibility reduced, it shall be repaired or replaced immediately and visibility restored. 3.2.4 BMP C105: Stabilized Construction Entrance Pu►pose Construction entrances are stabilized to reduce the amount of sediment transported onto paved roads by vchicles or equipment by conshucting a stabilized pad of quazry spalls at enhances to wnstruction siles. Conditions of Use Construction enhances shall be stabilized wherevcr traft'ic will be leaving a conshvction site and traveling on paved roads or othcr paved areas wichin 1,000 fcet of the site. On large commercial, highway,and road projects,the designer should include enough extra materials in the conhact to allow for additional stabilized entrances not shown in thc initial GSWPPP. It is difficult . to detertnine exactly where access to these projects will take place;additional materials will enable the contractor to install Wcm where oeeded.
