He also <br /> expressed coneern as to whether there was adequate on-street parking for <br /> resident,s in the area. <br /> Mr. Hoagland asked if th.y took parking into account when the plans were drawn <br /> and rrhat they would do if the variance was denied. <br /> In response to questions from the Board� Mr. Wood stated the City�s position � <br /> that on-street parking was expected to be used by the business abuttina tha: � <br /> parking and that the dental clinic employees nad the right to park there all <br /> day even though it may displace parking for people who presen.tly park there <br /> that work downtown. There are commerical lots available downtown where those <br /> displaced could park. <br /> The Burton office building at the end of che block where Dr. Trosvig presentily <br /> has his off'ice does not have parking as required by code� however, they do own <br /> a single famtly house next to their building antl so could provide additional <br /> parking on that lo*, Mr. Gregoire, assis�cant Planning Director, stated there <br /> was a 1971 l�:tter in the Building Permit ;ile stating the Hurton building <br /> would provide parking on the lot to 'Che west of their building, but this was <br /> never done. 3nstead� anotner office building was built on that lot. <br />
