Van accessible, accessible �arking and access aisles should be <br />dimensioned on the drawincs, per ICC/ANSI A117.1-?003 section <br />502.7. <br />5. The accessible route from accessible parking areas to che accessible <br />building entrance served should be shown on the drawings, per ICC <br />section 1104.1, to include a curb cut, ramp, landings, handrail details, <br />door swing clearances, etc. Although there is a Type A curb cut shown <br />as detail 7 on civil drawing sheet C703, it is not referenced on any site <br />drawings for its location relative to the access aisle for the accessible <br />parking spaces. There does not appear to be enough clearance (10 <br />feet minimum) to locate this curb ramp detail in those locations. <br />6. Please clarifV the clinic drop-off area from North Broadway. <br />a. Is there designated parking marking for the dental van marking <br />noted on sheet L100? <br />b. Is there a passenger loading zone? If yes, then the street-Ic���•i <br />passenger loading zone should be indicated on the architectural <br />site plan as accessible, per IBC section 1106.7. <br />. Access aisle: the 60 inch access aisle should be shown on the <br />site plan, per ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 503.3.1-4. <br />• Slope: The drawings should indicate a floor surface of tfie <br />access aisle and vehicle pull-up space should have a slope not <br />exceeding 1:48. <br />7, Curb ramps should be shown and detailed on the drawings, per IBC <br />section ].104.1 and ICC/A�SI A117.1-2003 section 406. The location, <br />slope and design of the curb ramps is not clearly shown on sheet L100. <br />8. Dimensions and clearances should be shown on the drawings for doors <br />in series (entry vestibules 131, 132) to indicate the minimiim 60 inch <br />turning space required between doors, per I�C/ANSI Ai17.1-2003 <br />section 404.2.5. <br />9. Exterior ramps on the accessibie route should indicate the foilowing <br />specific information on the drawings: <br />a. Dimensioned length of ramp run on the drawings (1:12 <br />maximum rise), per ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 405.2. <br />b. Dimensioned rise for each run (maximum rise for any run is 30 <br />inches), per IBC section 1101.2.1. <br />c. Dimensioned width of ramp on the drawings (44 inches), per <br />IBC section 1?.01.2.2. <br />d. Guard detaiis (height, design and attachment) where ramp <br />exceeds 30 inches above adjacent grade, per IBC section <br />1�13.1. <br />
