Guard details (height, design and attachmert) where ramp exceeds 30 inches above <br />adjacent grade, per IBC section 1013.1. <br />e. Handrail details (hei;ht, design and attachment) v.�here ramp exceeds 6 inches above <br />adjacent grade. per ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 405.8. <br />f. Handrails on the ramp require edge protection of an additional lower rail or extended <br />surtace, per !CClANSI A117.1 Section 405.9. <br />g. Curb ramps on the accessible routes should be shown or �s.a!enced on the drawings per <br />ICCIANSI A117.1-20D3 section 406. <br />Response: See Itom 7 above in this section for similar answer. <br />11. Call controls, signage, visib�e, and audibie signals should be shown on the drawi�gs to comply <br />with ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 407.2 and IBC section 1101.2.10, with the exceplion ot <br />section 407.4.62.2, per IBC section 1101.2.4 as amended by Washington State. <br />Response: Drawing A415 addresses all of the applicable elevator requirements (except <br />audible signals whlch are covered in ttie specifications.) The elevator specifications <br />lists all of the regulatory requirements required to comply to all oi the following Cades <br />�nd directives: <br />1. Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators ASME/ANSi A17.1. <br />2. Inspectors' Manual, ASME/ANSI A17.2. <br />3. Natianal Electrical Code, No. ANSUNFPA 70. <br />4. Washington Elevator Code <br />5. There are three other <br />accessible restrooms in the ciinic for both the patients and clinic staff. They are: WC <br />149, WG 164, and WC 185. All of these latter three meet the 60 inch X 56 inch clearance <br />requirement. <br />13. Tlie required ciearance at accessible water ctosets should be dirnensioned (inside clear), per <br />ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 604.3.2. <br />Response: All Accessible water closets are dimensioned (i�ride clear) on Sheet A404. <br />
