Van accessible, accessible parking and access aisles should be dimensioned on the <br />drawings, per ICCIANSI A117.1-2003 seclion 502.7. <br />Respcnse: Accessible parking and access aisles are dimensioned on Sheet C701 <br />Horizontal Control and Paving Plan. <br />5. The accessible route from accessible parking areas to the accessible building entrance served <br />should be shcwn on the drawings, per ICC section 1104.1, to include a curb cut, ramp, <br />landings, handrail details, door swing clearances, etc. Aithcugh there is a Type A curb cut <br />shown as detail 7 on civil drawing sheet C703, it is not referenced on any site drawings tor its <br />location relative to the access aisle for the accessibie parking spaces. There does not appear <br />to be enough Gearance (10 feet minimum) lo locate this curb ramp detail in those I�cations. <br />Response: The accessible route is shown on Sheets L120 and L121. DeWii 7/A703 has <br />been changed to a Type 'C' curb cul <br />6. Please clarify the Ginic drop-off area from North Broadway. <br />a. Is there designated parking marking for the dental van marking no;ed ��i sheet L100? <br />b. Is there a passenger toading zone? If yes, then the street-level passenger loading <br />zone should tre i�dicated on lh2 architeclurai site plan as accessible, per IBC section <br />1106.7. <br />• Access ais�e: the 60 inch access aisle should be shovm on lhe sile plan, per <br />ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 503.3.1-4. <br />• Slope: The drawings should indicate a iloor surtace oi the access aisle and vehicle <br />pull-up space should have a slope not exceeding 1:48. <br />Response: This is not a drop�off area for patients. It is i�tended to be an ambulance <br />pick•up only on tlie rare occasion a patient walks into the clinic and needs to be <br />transfeRed to ihe hospital for emergency treatment since the clinic is not equipped to <br />handle life threatening situations. This drive is also to be limited to fire department <br />vehicles and there is a"standing area" next to the drive for the temporary use of <br />dolivery trucks. The dental van whfch comes once a week wili paric at the NE end of <br />this standing area and will have arrangements made with the clinic to have that spot <br />reserved on those days. <br />7. Curb ramps should be shown and delailed on the dra�uings, per IBC seclion 1�04.1 and <br />ICC/AN51 A117.1-2003 section 4D6. The location, slope and design of the curb ramps is not <br />cleariy shown on sheel L100. <br />Response: Curb ramp locations in walks and piazas arour.d the b�iilding are indicated <br />on the Landi::ape plans, and referenced on Sheet C701 Horicontal Control and Paving <br />Plan. The curb ramp along Broadway is shown o� Sheet C701 and reference a City of <br />Everett detail on Sheet C703. <br />8. Dimensions and clearances should be shown on lhe drawings for doors in series (entry <br />veslibules 131, 132) to indicate the minimum 60 inch tuming space required between docrs, <br />per ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 404.2.5. <br />Response: The vestibule dimensiorts and the 5 toot tumaround wheelchair zone are <br />indicated on Sheet A101 for Vestibules 131 and 132. <br />I `� I <br />
