Related Documents: The provisions and intent of the contract, including the General Conditfons, apply to this work as it specified in this section. 1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK I A. The extent and the location of the demolition work are indicated on the drawings. The work includes, but Is not Ifmited to, the satfsfactory removal, wholly and proper off-site disposal of the 2-story Glacier Cold Storage Buflding, contents of the building, excavation to expose walls, concrete docks, slabs-on-grade, concrete foundations, metal canopies attached to the building and freestanding, miscellaneous debris Including items stored along the eastem and southem walls of the building. B. The demolition work is included on the drawings for guidance only and to indicate rypical general consiructir.n features oi the various types of structures, and is not to be construed as definite or adequate to supplant the actual on site inspection by the Contractor. 1.03 J08 CONDITIONS A. The Contractor represenls tha! they have visited the site to become familfar with the quantity and character of all materials to be demolished. The Contractor agrees that the premises were made available prlor to the deadlfne for submission of tho bfds for whatever inspection and tests the Contractor deemed appropriate. The Contractor assumes full responsibility for the proper disposal of all demolished materials. 1.04 SUBMITTALS A. T"he Contractor shall submit to the Owner a demoHtion plan at least 14 days prior to the demolition of any structure that, at a minimum, shall address the following: 1. Worker safety. 2. Protection of the public. 3. Schedule of phased demolitfon and descriptions of all steps to be taken. 4. Methods of demolition and equipment proposed to demolish each item. April 27, 2001 02060- 1 . �
