I <br /> from any duty to make examinations and investigaHons as required to deterrttine the <br /> exact location, depth, orientation, thickness, structural condition, reinforcement, pipe or <br /> conduit routing, dimensions or extent of utilities and structures. No responsibility for <br /> accuracy or completeness is assumed by the Owner and authorized agents. <br /> F. If or when utilily conFlicts occur, the Contractor shall continue the demolition process on <br /> other aspects of the project. Any change to the operatfon necessary to work around the <br /> conflicts shall be incidental to the various bid items of the contract arid no further <br /> compensation shall be made. <br /> G. The concrete floor slabs of the building have a layer of wood between the bottom of the <br /> concrete slab and existing ground. Contractor shall be respons(ble for removing and <br /> disposing of thfs layer of wood along with the concrete floor slab. <br /> 3.04 DISPOSAL <br /> A. General: All materials, shall upon thefr demolition become the property of the <br /> Contractor. All such materfal, including those containing hazardous or potentially <br /> hazardous substances, shall be removed and promptly disposed of away from the site <br /> to locations and approved and agreed disposal sites as specified in the General <br /> Conditfons. <br /> B. Cleanup: After removal of lhe materials, clean and grade the area per the plans and <br /> these specifications. There shall be no debris, rubble, or litter left at the site from any of <br /> the demolition operations, and the site shall be clean to the satisfaction of the Owner. <br /> C. Disposal: Snohomish County encourages the salvage and recycling of materials from <br /> demolished structures. All rer.ycling shall take place off-site. <br /> D. The Contractor shall submit to the County �opies of trip tfckets and recefver tickets for <br /> all material transported to approved landfllls and/or recycles. Submittals shall be made <br /> on a daily basis. <br /> E. All dfsposal activities shall be in accordance with the Ganeral Condidons. <br /> PART 4—MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> 4.01 MEASUREMENT <br /> No separate measurement shall be made for'Demolition." <br /> 4.02 PAYMENT <br /> Payment fcr "Demolition" will be made at the contract lump sum price as stated in the General <br /> Conditions and Nill be full compensation for fumishing all disposal fees, labor, equipment, and <br /> incidentals re;;�;red to accomplish the "Demolitfon" work specified. <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> April 27, 2C01 020F J - 5 ,. ` <br /> U <br />
