Other geotechnical considerations which may erise during the course of <br /> construction. <br /> B. Contractor's Duties Relative to Inspection <br /> 1. Notify Owner 24 hours in advance of beginning instailation of each pile. <br /> 2. Records: Maintain a complete and accurate record of all auger-placed concrete <br /> piles. The record shall indicate the pile locatfon, dfameter, length, elevations of tip <br /> and top oi pile, and the volume and strength of mortar material uaed in each pile. <br /> The record shall also note unusual conditions encountered duhng pile installatfon. <br /> C. Pile Location Survey: The Contractor shall locate all pile centers in accordance with <br /> the drawings. <br /> D. Protection: Protect structures, underground utiliHes, and other conatruction from <br /> damage caused by piling operatfons. Damage shall be repaired at no cost to the <br /> County. <br /> E. The Contractor shall not drill piles with the drillfng equipment placed within 10 teet <br /> either sfde of the outside edge of the existing 48-inch diameter wsterline ahown on the <br /> drawings. <br /> 1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Records: Submit records described under Sectfon 1.03.8.2 in accordance with <br /> requirements of the General Conditions. <br /> B. Submit mix designs for ail grouts and concretes in accordance with the requirements oF <br /> the General Conditons. <br /> 1.05 PRODUCT HANDLING <br /> A. Protection: Protect materials before, during, and after InstallaHon. Protect installed <br /> work and materials of olher trades. <br /> 1 08 JOB CONDITIONS <br /> A. Existing Conditions: A geotechnical report has been made (refer to Section 1.02A). <br /> The Contractor shall be aware of the conditions that may be encountered and install <br /> piles into bearing strata to the depths shown or as directed by the Owner and <br /> authorized agents. <br /> B.
