DIVISION 3, CONCRETE , <br /> SECTION 03300 <br /> CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE <br /> PART1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.01 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br /> A. The provisions and intent of the contract, including the General Cond(tions, apply to this <br /> work as if specified in this section. Work related to this section is described in: <br /> 1. Section 03200 - Concrete Refnforcement <br /> 1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> A. The work includes the requirements for providing all cast-in-place concrete and <br /> associated work in conformance with these specifications and drawings. <br /> 1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Testing shall be accomplished in accordance with the applfcable provisfons of the <br /> Genera� Conditions <br /> 1. Qualifications oi Workmen <br /> a. Provide at least one person who shsll be present at all times during execution of <br /> this portion of the work, and who shall be thoroughly trained and experienced in <br /> placing the types of concrete specified, and who shall direct all work pertormed <br /> under this sectfon. <br /> b. Thoroughly trained and experienced Joumeyman concrete finfehere shall be <br /> responsible for finishing of exposed surfaces. <br /> B. Evaluation of shotcrete conatruction shall be performed per ACI 506.4R-94, "Guide for <br /> the Evaluatlon of Shotcrete." <br /> 1.04 PRODUCT HANDLING <br /> A. Ready-mixed concrete shall be placed in its final position within 1 1/2 hours after the <br /> addition of cement. <br /> 1. Retempering: Mix concrete only in such quantlties as are required for fmmediate <br /> use and use while fresh before initial set has taken place. Concrete which has <br /> developed initial set shall not be used.
