Replacement: In the event of damage, (mmediately make all repa�rs and <br /> replacements necessary to the approval of the Owner and at no addiNonal cost to <br /> the County. <br /> PART2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 CONCRETE <br /> A. Quality <br /> 1. Concrete of the tabulated classes shall ha��e the following minimum compressfve <br /> s rengths at 28 days. Concrete shall be proportianed within the following Iimits, <br /> unless approved othenvise after submittal of a mix design. All co.icrete shall have <br /> a maximum water-to-cement ratio of 0.45. <br /> 2. The minimum compressive strengths at 28 days shall be 4,000 psi. <br /> B. Cement <br /> 1. All cement shall be Portland cement confortning to ASTM C 150, Type I or III, with <br /> a tricalcium aluminate (C,A) content oi less than 8 percent, and sha�l be the product <br /> of one manufacturer. <br /> 2. Type III cement shall be used for all concrete unless the use of Type I cement ia <br /> specifically �uthorized in writing by the Owner. The use of Type I cement wfll be <br /> authorized any if the Contractor can demonstrate, by preparatton of and adherence <br /> to a construction schedule appraved by the Ovmer, thet the project wfll be <br /> completed within the stipulated cantrect time using the Type I cement. <br /> D. Aggregates <br /> 1. Aggregates for standard Portland cament concrete shall conform to the quality <br /> requirements of the current State of Washington Standard Speci�cations for Road, <br /> Bridge, and Municipal Construction. <br /> E. Water: Water used for mixing concrete shall be potable and shall conform to the <br /> quality requfrements ot Paragraph 9-75.1 ot the Washington State Standerds. <br /> F. Admixtures: All admixtures shall be supplied by one manufacturer approved by the <br /> Owner. <br /> 1. Air-entraining agents shall conform to ASTM C 260. Agents shell be Edoco, <br /> MB VR, MB AE-t0, or approved equal. An air-entraining agent shall be uaed in all <br /> concrete, unless noted otherwise, to obtafn 5 percent entrained air (plus or minus <br /> 1 1/2 percent). <br /> April 27, 2001 03300 - 2 <br /> 3a <br />
