Accelerators shall be approved by the Owner prior to use. <br /> 4. Retarders shall be approved by the Owner prior to use. <br /> 5. Nonshrink additives shall be "Isovol," "Embeco," or an approved mix design. The <br /> mix design shall be tested in accordance with ASTM C 827 for volume change, <br /> ASTM C 187 and ASTM C 143 for workability, end ASTM C 39 for compressive <br /> strength. The use of powdered aluminum wfll not be permitted without written <br /> permission of the Owner. <br /> 2.02 MEMBRANES <br /> A. Curing Membrane: All curing membrane shall be sheet plestic, as apecified for vapor <br /> barrier, x combination sheet plastic and paper, or an equal approved in advance by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> B. Jointing Material: All cement or tape used for sealfng membrane Joints shall be only as <br /> recommended by the manufacturer of the membrane being joined. <br /> 2.03 OTHER MATERIALS <br /> A. All other materials not specifically described, but required for e complete and proper <br /> installation of cast-in-place concrete, shall be as selected by the Contractor subJect to <br /> the approval of the Owner. <br /> 2.04 AIR ENTRAINED CONCRETE/SHOTCRETE <br /> A. Shotcrete shall meet the requirements of ACI 506.2-95. Shotcrete shall be Class 4000. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 PREPARATORY WORK <br /> A. Inspection <br /> 1. Prior to all work of this section, carefully inspect the inatalled work of all other trades <br /> and verify that all such work is compiete to the paint where this instaliatfon may <br /> properly commence. <br /> 2. Verify that all items to be embedded in concrete are in place, properly oriented, <br /> located and secured. <br /> 3.
