� . , . • <br /> PART 2—PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS: <br /> A. Except as othenvise specified, materials shall be products of the following <br /> manufacturers <br /> 1. Carboline <br /> 2. Devoe Coating Company <br /> 3. Ameron <br /> B. Materials selected for caating systems for each type of surface shall be the produds of <br /> a single manufacturer. <br /> C. All pafnt materials shall be the respective equivalent, in the opinion of the Owner, to the <br /> several types of materials specified. Deliver ali materials to the job site in the original, <br /> unbroken containers, bearing the manufacturer's labels (ndicating the contents and <br /> directions for use, storage, and handling. <br /> D. Materials not specifically noted, but required for the work, such as linseed oil, thinner or <br /> other materials, shall be the products of the approved paint menufacturer. <br /> 2.02 MIXING <br /> A. Mix paint products according to the menufacturer's printed directions. Do not <br /> adulterate in any manner, except upon specific approval of and in the presence of the <br /> Owner. <br /> 2.03 COLOR SELECTION <br /> A. The Owner will make the color selection. <br /> 2.04 IDENTIFICATION <br /> A. The manufacturers identification numbers and specifications listed are for the purpose <br /> of indicatfng the type and quality oi paint product desired for the purpose indicated. <br /> 2.05 SUBSTITUTONS <br /> A. If the Contractor desired to use an altemate manufacturer's materials or methoda af <br /> application, thess shai� be submitted in writing to the Owner for revfew and approval <br /> priar to procurement of the materials. Substantiatlng technical data is required. <br /> Approval will not be gr¢�r�ted unless, in the opinion of the Engineer, the quality of the <br /> finished construction vrill be equal to that intended.
