These comments <br /> address building issues only, addidonal revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br /> (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building Code, as <br /> amended by the State of Washington andior Washington State Energy Code 1991, 2nd Edition, unless <br /> stated otherwisc. <br /> 1. Provide 110 volt smoke detectors with battery back-up in all sleeping rooms and in the <br /> corridor or area giving access to each separate sleeping area. Detectors shall emit a signal <br /> when batteries are low/1210 U.B.C. <br /> 2. Provide a sclf-closing tight-fitdng solid wood door 1-3/8 inches in thickness, or a self closing <br /> tight-fitdng door having a fire-protection radng of not less than 20 minutes between the <br /> garage and dwelling. <br /> 3. Show location and size of all posts or multiple 2x's supporting roof point loads. <br /> 4. Provide detail of minimum lateral restraint at garage end walls. <br /> 5. Regazdless of occu�ancy there shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door. A door <br /> may open at a landing that is not more than 8 inches lower than thc floor level, provided the <br /> door dces not swing over the landing. <br /> 6. The plans do not show the dimensions to interior partitions. Locate all interior partitions <br /> with dimensions. <br /> 7. Finish tub/shower with a smooth, hazd nonabsorbent surface to a height of not less than 70 <br /> inches above the drain inlet. <br /> 8. Provide insulation baffles at eave vents. Baffles shall be rigid material, resistant to wind <br /> driven moisture.
