Appropriate <br /> trip lests, witnessed by a Fire Departmenl inspector, shall be performed, along with a <br /> certificate of complelion, prior fo final acceptance o(the system. <br /> Fire alarm systems shall be installed according lo NFPA Standard 72. Installation of(ire <br /> alarm components, including basic wi�ing, may not commence be(ore plans are <br /> approved by the Fire Department Pla:� Reviewer. Fire alarm drawings musl be <br /> professionally rendered, in suKcient detail, and must be intemal;y consistent. Riser diagrams <br /> must match installation plans and load calculations. The system must Include a mechanlcal water gong <br /> bell. <br /> Plans for any such syslem shall be submitted to the Building Department for examination and <br /> approval. Such plans shall in�lude plans tor the underground mains thal will supply lhe <br /> sprinkler syslem. <br /> The lype of sprinkler to be installed will be determined by the Building Official. Il may be an <br /> NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, or NFPA 13D system depending upon several factors. Sprinkler <br /> inslallatio� shall not begin without an approved and slamped set ot plans from the Building <br /> Deparlment. The Fire Department will also review the plans and shall field inspect thA <br /> installation based only on approved plans that musl be on site. Underground piping shall be hydroslatically tested and tlushed as established in NFPA <br /> Standard 24 for private fire mains.
