Mrs . Williams <br /> turned the canoc right side up exposing a green plastic trash <br /> bag. As she unfoldcd thc plastic bag the remains of a dead <br /> St. Rernard dog could he secn and t��c stench was overwhelming. <br /> Mr. Williams grabbed thc plastic bag with the remains of the <br /> dog and drug it off through the bushes and trees . <br /> Mrs . IVilliams then took us to a storage shed at the end of the <br /> garage. There she brought out a box containing the remains of <br /> a dead cnt and three plastic lock-type baggies containing the <br /> remains of othcr animals that she said were ducks . Mr. Williams <br /> grabbed the box and wa]keJ oCf with it . <br /> I asked Mrs . Williams how long the dog had been dead and she <br /> snid, "About a month. " I'he Iiverett Animal Control Of£icer indic- <br /> ated that the liverett Animal tihclter, upon Mr. Williams ' request, <br /> had put the do�; t:n , lecp ,ihout n month a�o and he picked up the <br /> remains to dispose of it himsclf. When asked how long the other <br /> animals had ber.n dead , Mrs. Williams said they died while she <br /> and Dtr. Williams lived in I,ynnwood . Mr. and Mrs , Nilliams moved <br /> to 7826 F:ast (;asino Rond in the summer or fall of 1981 . <br /> Jerry Russell , the Animnl Cantrol Officer, and I started looking <br /> for the remains of the nnimals , I finally asked Mr, iPilliams <br /> what he had done with thc remnins and he sa�d he put them behind <br /> tha Animel Shelter trucA. <br /> When we reached the sidewalk wc saw the remains of the animals <br /> in the street behind the t;verett Animal Control truck. I indic- <br /> ated that the remains were an city property ancl needed to be <br /> removed .
